An outback mecca for keen fishermen and nature lovers, the lodge sits perched over a 300 acre-lake. Like a vast outback oasis, this spectacular lake attracts a staggering array of wildlife including sea eagles, pelicans, jabirus, freshwater crocodiles, barramundi and Black Bream to name a few. You can spend your days on the lake or riverside, exploring the bush wilderness or just enjoying the serenity and stillness of the outback in the lodge’s private manicured grounds.

Guests are free to be as active as they wish in this outback oasis.

Guests are free to be as active as they wish... or just relax poolside in this outback escape. The Lodge host will assist with the choice of the day's adventures included as part of any stay.

Take a kayak or paddle board to explore the far reaches of Crystalbrook Lake, or fish for iconic barramundi.

Wander along bush trails for a nature walk - birdwatchers will love the profusion of water birds as well as sightings of kangaroos, goannas and maybe a herd of wild brumbies.

Relax by the Magna® wet-edge pool – rich in health giving magnesium salts.

In the evening, watch the Milky Way unfold in one of the clearest night skies in the world while enjoying drinks and good conversations around the campfire, or grab a book from the library and enjoy a glass of wine in the Lounge.

The Lake
The pristine freshwater lake is the magnet to which guests are drawn with its fresh clear water, undulating shoreline, thousands of lily pads, bird life of all types.

The lake is currently being stocked with an additional 10,000 barramundi (to supplement the estimated 2,500 existing). Guests may fish from the flat-bottom electric boat, or explore an array of downstream freshwater pools and stream beds.

The birdlife is spectacular with nesting sea eagles regularly seen near the lodge.
