Horse Riding

The sound of horses nickering, the smell of eucalyptus, the crackle of the undergrowth, the flurry of galahs or native parrots taking to the air as one canters through the bush is a quintessentially Australian experience. Adventures on horseback ride high in the tales of some of our heroic characters, Australia’s bushmen and women, conquering seemingly impassable steep slopes of the unsympathetic landscape.

This scene is immortalised in an Australian poem etched in the hearts of many, about a bushman’s extraordinary pursuit on horseback.
