Photographers can capture some of Australia's most spectacular and interesting places on this expansive itinerary that provides a myriad of scenic vistas, local connections and diverse landscapes.

From sydney airport, 1.5hr drive to pretty beach house or arrange to arrive via scenic flight.

1 Pretty Beach House Sydney Surrounds, New South Wales

Perched high on an escarpment, Pretty Beach House is the epitome of relaxed Australian luxury and elegance in the Sydney Surrounds. The New South Wales Bouddi Peninsula is surrounded by the meeting of five iconic waterways where pristine sandy beaches and sparkling bays meet the native wilderness of The Bouddi National Park – a photographer’s paradise of captivating coastal views that are quintessentially Australian.

What will I do there?

• Join a whale watching cruise and capture the majestic beauty of the humpback whale during their migration to or from Antarctica up the east coast of Australia along with panoramic views of the Palm Beach idyllic coastline.

• A leisurely 20 minute stroll through untouched native flora to the tip of the Aboriginal Dreaming sacred site of Box Head is breathtaking, with stunning 180 degree views of the 5 surrounding waterways including Broken Bay to Palm Beach and the Barrenjoey light house. Multiple other hikes and vantage points are possible too.

• Explore the incredible marine wilderness of Broken Bay, where iconic pelicans and abundant fish are a living display of a thriving marine ecosystem – home to the sublime world-class Akoya pearl.

1 Pretty Beach House Sydney Surrounds, New South Wales

What will I do there?

2 Lake House Daylesford, Victoria

Lake House is justly regarded as one of Australia’s outstanding sustained regional dining experiences and the region is a mecca for foodies and culinary nomads. Set on the shores of idyllic Lake Daylesford the magical light is often remarked upon by visiting photographers and avid lovers of art. You’ll find an eclectic mix of artists’ studios, cafes, excellent restaurants, boutique day spas and holistic healing centres – Spa Country that exudes a sophisticated bohemian feel.

What will I do there?

• Photography Workshop – in this 2 hour session you can concentrate on nature and still life, or sharpen your technique or composition capabilities with New York born, Daylesford based Anthony Scibelli.

• Farm Gate & Winery Tour – head out for the day with a local guide and meet the farmers, producers and winemakers who passionately connect the ‘paddock to plate’ philosophy.

• Dine at the multi-award winning Lake House Restaurant under the direction of Executive Chef Alla Wolf-Tasker.

2 Lake House Daylesford, Victoria

What will I do there?

• Breakfast With The Roos – enjoy a picnic-style breakfast in a beautiful, natural setting where families of native kangaroos are grazing in the early morning sun.

• Hot Air Ballooning – float over the wide valley floor with its mosaic of vineyards and orchards bound by the rolling hills leading up to Eden Valley and capture a Barossa sunrise.

• Spend a Saturday morning at the bustling Barossa Farmer’s Market to share in the delight for the food of the region with the local community.

3 The Louise Barossa Valley, South Australia

The Louise is an idyllic luxury vineyard retreat, encompassing acclaimed restaurant Appellation. It is situated on a gentle hill surrounded by hundreds of acres of vines, with breathtaking vistas across the world renowned Barossa Valley. A small number of luxuriously appointed,

4 Arkaba Ikara-Flinders ranges, South Australia

Arkaba is a private wildlife conservancy flanked by the strikingly beautiful Elder and Chase Ranges and Rawnsley Bluff, of the Ikara-Flinders Ranges. Recognised as one of the most beautiful outback properties in the country, Arkaba has an Aboriginal history since time immemorial and a geological history that dates back hundreds of millions of years. Cast your lens on ancient geology, rare flora and fauna and sunsets that seem to last forever.

What will I do there?

• Wildlife Observation Hide – a reliable watering point for birds and other wildlife including 36 different bird species, Western grey kangaroos, red kangaroos, common wallaroos, echidnas, sand goannas, bearded dragons, shingleback skinks and the tawny dragon endemic to Australia.

• Photographic Safari with Richard I’Anson – time your trip to join a photography course with author of Lonely Planet’s guide to Travel Photography, Canon Master and World Nomads Mentor capturing the South Australian outback.

• Outback Safari Drive – an afternoon guided experience usually capped off with a sundowner drink on top of the ranges with the scale and grandeur of plateaus, gorges, valleys and creek lines of Ikara-Flinders Ranges laid out for miles around.

4 Arkaba Ikara-Flinders ranges, South Australia
