Where the outback meets the reef...with sixteen wilderness tents hidden amongst the dunes overlooking Ningaloo Reef, Sal Salis provides a unique place from which to explore Western Australia’s coral coast and one of Australia’s best kept natural secrets. The camp can be booked exclusively by a group for an all-inclusive corporate getaway, offering flexible tour itineraries, communal dining and a private beach front location.
Sal Salis brings a touch of style to a remote and spectacularly beautiful wilderness region, but the true luxury of Sal Salis is the chance to reconnect with nature and escape from the everyday - creating memorable team bonding and often life-changing experiences. Ningaloo Reef is acknowledged as the best place in the world to swim with the world’s largest fish, the Whale shark, as these gentle giants migrate through every year from mid-March to July. During August through to October, Sal Salis staff can also organise swimming with Humpback Whales, an immersive experience sure to put things in perspective.
Safari guides are on hand to provide an immersive wilderness experience, and the ritual of sundowners is a time of laughter, sharing of exceptional local knowledge and wonder at the inimitability of Ningaloo. The resident chef ensures this is supported by the very best of Australian bush cuisine and a selection of fine Western Australian wines.
Sal Salis' environmental credentials ensure a minimal footprint in this pristine environment. The camp is primarily solar powered and there is no air-conditioning, mini bar, television or modern appliance in the tents – the focus is on the surrounding wilderness and the opportunity to reconnect with nature. Due to limited light pollution, guests have the opportunity to experience the bright and expansive Milky Way. Sal Salis does not offer traditional luxury, rather the luxury is in the experience.
