Self Guided Hikes

There's over 200km of terrain to explore in the outback wilderness landscape of The Kimberley at El Questro Homestead. Guests can set out on one of the many hiking trails and if you're lucky, walk uninterrupted for hours, taking in the rugged sandstone gorges and idyllic waterfalls all to yourself. On the steep outcrop of Saddleback Ridge, the climb is rewarded with a remarkable 360-degree view. Take a well-deserved swim at El Questro Gorge at the end of your adventure or stay a while in the natural thermal waters of Zebedee Springs, set at the base of sheer cliffs and surrounded by lush vegetation of Livistona palms.

If you'd prefer a leisurely stroll, guests can head out from The Station along the Pentecost River. Here you’ll be able to wander through the region’s natural flora, spotting the local wildlife as you go until you come across a collection of safe, shallow swimming holes. Guests can pack a picnic lunch to stop along the way and soak in the scenery.
