What To Do When (Summer)
The Australian summer is typified by long lazy days at the thousands of beaches on both sides of the content. The interior is hot but long days mean plenty of opportunity to capture the intense colours of the desert. The southern summer is ideal for hiking and exploring. And in the north, the intensity of tropics starts to build with dramatic clouds and skies and lush lush green.
Hamilton Island enjoys a sunny and hot summer with an average daily temperature of 30°C and warm water year round.
Between December and March days are warm (daytime 25°C-33°C) with occasional rain
Lizard Island benefits from the best of the Great Barrier Reef’s weather with a tropical climate and average daily temperature of approximately 32°C.
Bamurru Plains is closed 1st November until 31st January each year during the early months of the wet season
During the wet season in The Kimberley, TRUE NORTH ventures south to Sydney and the southern part of Australia.
EL QUESTRO HOMESTEAD
El Questro Homestead
El Questro is closed during the hot summer months between mid-October and early April each year.
Sal Salis is closed between November and mid-March each year.
Margaret River enjoys long warm sunny days averaging around 25°C.
During the hot summer months, average temperatures range from 37°C during the day to 10°C overnight.
The climate in the Southern Outback is generally dry and sunny year round. Over the summer months from December to February/March it can get very hot during the day.
The Barossa Valley is regarded as a warm climate wine region, with temperatures in the summer often rising to 30°C.

Daylesford's daily temperatures usually hover a couple of degrees below Melbourne. Summers are mild and sunny.
