The climate in the Southern outback is generally dry and sunny year round. Over the summer months from December to February it can get very hot during the days and quite warm in the evenings, with temperatures ranging from 15 - 32°C . These summer months provide your quintessential outback experience with red-dirt horizons, exciting thunder and lightening storms, and the absolute best sunsets in the world. In winter months from June to August, the days are glorious with nights getting cold, often dropping below 0°C. Arkaba's fireplaces are popular places to retire to after your safari days. Winter and spring are the seasons of life in the outback, and the dry, red earth is transformed with a carpet of green with pockets of wildflowers.
