Central to a stay at Longitude 131° is a discovery of Uluru-Kata Tjuta, explored on the lodge’s personally guided adventures.

These experiences connect guests with the backstory of the desert icons and provide a chance to discover the natural heritage as well as the ancient creation stories of the Anangu people, the Traditional Custodians of the land.

Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park is located in what has traditionally been the territory of Pitjantjatjara and Yunkunytjatjara people. The Traditional Owners of the Park call themselves Anangu meaning, ‘we the people’. Anangu life revolves around the Tjukurpa. Tjukurpa, is the word that Anangu use to refer the ancestral time when the world was being formed by heroic beings.
