Table 131°
Dine under the Stars at Table 131°. The remote outback frontier provides some of the most spectacular stargazing in Australia. Free from competing urban lights and pollution, the southern sky is truly the star! The low humidity in the Red Centre provides perfect conditions for heavenly views of the wide expanse above, free from pollution and ablaze with countless stars. Aboriginal cultural stories of the constellations are shared with guests at Table 131°. Exclusive to Longitude 131° guests, Table 131° is one of the world’s most remarkable dining experiences, featuring alfresco dining with local flavours in a private desert setting under the canopy of glittering stars and accompanied by an interpretive “star-talk”. After dinner, guests settle back and listen to the lodge’s resident naturalist decode the southern night sky. Locate the Southern Cross, the signs of the zodiac and the Milky Way and learn the significance of the stars and planets in Aboriginal creation stories, that form part of an Aboriginal songline that spans the breadth of Australia. For further information, visit. |
