Live.Love.Life Festival

November 14th – 18th, 2018

A program curated by Creative Directors, Kate Ceberano and David Bromley, offers you the opportunity to immerse yourself in up to five days of ‘good for you’ activities, wonderful music and art and, of course, great food and wine, all located in and around Daylesford.  

Learn a little. Live a lot. Come with a bunch of friends, someone special or on your own. There’ll be plenty to experience. Lake House will be offering three very special events at the Lake House Cooking School.

Food as Medicine with Sam Gowing | Saturday November 17th | 11am – 1pm 

Described as “Inspiring, empowering, hilarious and entertaining ….”, Sam will present a Cooking Class with a difference.

Uncomplicated, easy to integrate dishes for optimal every day wellness and every occasion – presented around an in-depth discussion of food choices – seasonal ingredients, the healing properties of good food and the debunking of fad diets and food trends.

Host for this lively session which is designed to inspire and inform is Alla Wolf-Tasker AM– long term champion of local food communities and Founder of the Good Food Matters Scholarship Fund.

Wellness in our Daily Bread – and other delicious things | Sunday November 18th | 11am – 1pm

Watch Michael James – labelled by Attica’s Ben Shewry as “one of the greatest bakers of his generation” – show us the art behind his beautiful bread and other delicious things. Be inspired and learn the tricks of managing great bread baking at home. Already a home bread baker? Come armed with your questions and learn from a master.

Join in as the conversation with Pippa and Michael veers around the very short-term benefits of industrial monocultural farming, the questionable nutritional value of modern wheat and the impact of fewer grain varieties. Not to be missed!

Feasting on Love – and other wonderful things | Sunday November 18th from 5.30pm @ the lake shore and Terrace Room at Lake House
