Australia is known as the home of some of the best swimming, snorkelling and scuba diving locations in the world. Our coastline covers some 25,000 kilometres, is surrounded by many thousands of islands and is home to significant reef systems. The Great Barrier Reef stretches some 1200km along the tropical north Queensland coast and is one of the seven wonders of the natural world. Ningaloo Reef is Australia’s largest fringing coral reef at 260km in length and is located just metres off the west coast of Australia. It is the only large reef positioned very close to mainland Australia.
