True North Adventure Cruises has unveiled a $4 million refit across its fleet ahead of the 2026 season, with both True North and True North II set to deliver enhanced exploration across Australia, Indonesia and Papua New Guinea.
Upgrades focus on performance, comfort and capability, with new engines installed on True North, refreshed interiors and added Pullman bunks in select cabins, while True North II introduces refined guest spaces and new adventure boats for greater access to remote coastlines, rivers and reefs.
The 2026 season also sees the launch of new itineraries, including Kimberley Untold, which ventures beyond established routes to explore the Kimberley Coast’s remote rivers, waterfalls and sandstone gorges, complemented by fishing, wildlife encounters and guided bushwalking.
Alongside these journeys, True North returns to the Great Barrier Reef with its signature focus on conservation, research, and intimate small-ship exploration.
“We’ve put a lot into the fleet this year,” says Director Chad Avenell. “It’s about how far we can go, how flexible we can be, and what that opens up for guests once we’re out there.”
With both vessels prepared for the season ahead, the 2026 program reflects a continued focus on access, flexibility and deeper exploration.
