As 2024 unfolds, there’s exciting news to share about the transformations undergone by both True North and True North II. The team at True North Adventures is pleased to reveal a major makeover, promising an unforgettable experience. Among the meticulous updates to both vessels, True North takes the spotlight with a notable upgrade – the introduction of the Ocean Premium Cabin class.

Listening to the feedback from valued guests, True North now offers a more versatile and adaptable room setting in the new Ocean Premium Cabin class. Starting this year, travellers on True North’s itineraries can choose between a twin share or double bed layout when booking this premium cabin class.

True North II, having embarked on a refit journey, emerges from a year of adventures fully restored to showroom condition.

Both ships provide comparable Australian travel experiences, except for the fact that True North extends its itinerary to include visits to Indonesia and Papua New Guinea. True North II, measuring 34 meters in length, is tailored for the nimble and agile traveller, making it an ideal choice for generational trips, charters, and families. This vessel caters to a maximum of 20 guests. In contrast, True North, the larger of the two ships, boasts a length of 50 meters and can accommodate 32 guests. Both vessels are equipped with up to 6 small adventure boats, and a helicopter, providing ample opportunities to delve deeper into and explore the remote wilderness.

In contrast to more traditional cruise offerings, the crew members aboard True North Adventures are encouraged to interact with guests. The culinary experience throughout all True North Adventures is uniquely shaped by the destination, adopting a “hook to plate” approach. Engaging in activities like mud crabbing and fishing, the crew ensures the creation of exceptional locally sourced meals. Communal dining stands out as the prevailing norm, fostering a shared experience for everyone on board.

Embarking on a True North Adventure cruise has consistently stood out as one of Australia’s premier and highly esteemed adventure tourism experiences. All itineraries are crafted around activities, tailored for the discerning traveller seeking a genuine ‘destination experience’ in some of Australia’s most remote and challenging-to-reach coastal regions. Including areas of the Great Barrier Reef, Kangaroo Island, The Kimberley, Sydney Surrounds and more.

The True North and True North II are purposefully designed to reach wilderness areas inaccessible to other ships. The spacious cabins boast modern décor and en-suite facilities. Daily activities encompass a diverse range, including scenic walks, helicopter flights, fishing, snorkelling, cultural visits, picnics, wildflower appreciation, bird and wildlife watching, diving, exploration, and much more.
