A total solar eclipse, one of nature’s most phenomenal occasions, occurred on 20th April 2023 at 11:29am as the Moon passed directly between Earth and the Sun. An extraordinary and rare astronomical event where Exmouth was the only town within the line of totality, making it one of the only places on earth to experience the total solar eclipse.
Guests at Sal Salis, Ningaloo Reef enjoyed a spectacular front row seat advantage to view this incredible celestial performance.
Guests on True North II were also recently treated to an exclusive viewing of the solar eclipse.
To read astronomer and specialist guide Greg Quicke’s recount of this rare experience, visit True North Adventure Cruises.
