The Weekend Australian featured plenty of Luxury Lodges of Australia in their ‘Hall of fame: 25 bucket list stays’, insisting these are Australian holiday destinations you’ve got to try (at least) once.
On the list were safari lodge Bamurru Plains in the Top End and luxury under canvas Longitude 131º in Central Australia, Northern Territory. Over in the west, El Questro Homestead and wilderness park of The Kimberley region made the cut, as well as as luxury camp, Sal Salis, on the Ningaloo Reef in Western Australia. Heritage property Mt Mulligan Lodge in Northern Outback Queensland and beach front luxe at Lizard Island on the Great Barrier Reef were featured and in South Australia there was wildlife conservancy, Arkaba Homestead in Ikara – Flinders Ranges and culinary destination, The Louise in the Barossa Valley.
