Yalumba Wine Weekend | June 23-25, 2023

The Louise, known for its exceptional Barossa winemaker events, will continue the exclusive series in June with a remarkable Yalumba Wine Weekend. This special occasion will celebrate the highly anticipated release of Yalumba’s prestigious red wine, The Caley 2018.

With an indulgent line-up of long lunches, wine tastings and behind-the-scenes tours, The Louise’s Yalumba Wine Weekend will be jointly hosted by Yalumba’s Chief Winemaker Louisa Rose and guest Silky Oaks Lodge Chef Mark Godbeer.

To mark the release of Yalumba’s The Caley 2018, a magnificent blend of Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon and Barossa Shiraz, guests will be treated to a specially designed five-course degustation dinner with matched Yalumba wines in Appellation restaurant. The menu, created by Chef Mark Godbeer, will offer a carefully considered match of local Barossa ingredients and follow the lead and commentary of host Louisa Rose.

Mark will lead a personally guided tour of the famous Barossa Farmers Markets before guests continue to the Yalumba winery – home to Australia’s most historic family wine label – for a behind-the-scenes tour and discovery of its onsite nursery, cooperage and wine museum. Lunch is at the Yalumba Wine Tank, hosted by Louisa Rose and with special event dining by Chef Mark Godbeer.

Top off a wonderful weekend of Barossa food and wine with sunset drinks – and specifically a guided gin flight experience at Seppeltsfield Distillers, conveniently located just across the road from The Louise.

All-inclusive rates on The Yalumba Wine Weekend start at $1800* per suite per night in a luxury Stonewell Suite, with a minimum two-night stay. T&C’s apply.
