Introducing The Cellar Series at Lake House – curated culinary events with some of Lake House’s favourite makers and connoisseurs.

Experience a special menu at an intimate shared table lunch with likeminded travellers, enjoy a selection of wines often rare or difficult to find and meet the maker or the importer, sharing stories along the way.

Truffles & The Wines of Italy | Saturday 22nd July 12pm – 4pm | $395.00

Hosted by Trembath & Taylor’s Matt Paul

The prominence given to Italian wine in Australia today can be traced back to Trembath & Taylor, the leading importer of Italian wine in this country.

The culture and diversity of grapes, terroir and cuisine in Italy makes them one of the most dynamic wine countries in the world and as the winter season unfolds and the suggestion of truffles beckon the team at Lake House to the hunt for the delicacy in surrounding orchards, an ideal pairing is formed.

Settle in for a sumptuous winter lunch from the team at Lake House in the Waterfront Pavilion with exceptional views across misty Lake Daylesford.

A multi course set chefs menu features local truffles, paired with Italian wines from Trembath & Taylor’s revered portfolio focusing on the wines of Piedmont.

Make a weekend of it and join for two nights, inclusive of dinner in the Lake House restaurant on one night, breakfast daily and 2 tickets to the Truffle Lunch.

Bindi Wines | Saturday 5th August 12pm – 4pm | $525.00

Hosted by Winemaker Michael Dhillon

“One of the icons,” says James Halliday. And so it is.

Established in 1988 – just after Lake House first opened its doors; Bindi is now renowned as one of the best wineries in Australia serving up top-shelf Chardonnay and remarkable Pinot Noir. 50 kilometres north-west of Melbourne in the Macedon Ranges, is the family property of the Dhillon family. Originally purchased in the 1950’s as part of the larger grazing farm ‘Bundaleer’, ‘Bindi’ is a 170-hectare farm, of which 7 hectares are planted with largely high density vineyards, producing wines of exceptional quality. The newly released Block 8 and Darshan wines give a new meaning to premium Australian Pinot Noir.

The vineyard and winemaking philosophy is to seek balance and purity in the expression of its various vineyard sites. This philosophy is applied to both farming and conservation at Bindi; the preservation of the natural harmony.

Their wines are hard to come by and coveted by collectors, Lake House are grateful and proud to have the opportunity to share them with you.

Settle in for a sumptuous late winter lunch from the team at Lake House in the Waterfront Pavilion, the firepit will be roaring.

A multi course set chefs menu will be paired with wines from the Bindi portfolio including the 2021 release of Bindi’s Block 8 Pinot Noir, Darshan Pinot Noir and Block 5 Pinot Noir.

Make a weekend of it and join for two nights, inclusive of dinner in the Lake House restaurant on one night, breakfast daily and 2 tickets to the Bindi Lunch.
