Guests on a Kimberley Ultimate TRUE NORTH heli-camping excursion were recently treated to a privileged sighting of a Northern Quoll.
Related to the Tasmanian devil, this charismatic carnivorous marsupial once roamed most of Northern Australia. Quoll populations across Northern Australia have suffered a significant decline mostly due to introduced predators but more recently the cane toad invasion has also had a dramatic impact.
The Kimberley is now one of the quoll’s remaining strongholds and guests on the TRUE NORTH are lucky enough to visit several spots where they might be seen.
