Where the outback meets the reef… hidden in the dunes, just metres from the inshore waters of Ningaloo Reef, Sal Salis provides a unique place from which to explore Western Australia’s coral coast and one of Australia’s best kept natural secrets.

The limestone back-drop of the Cape Range hides deep gorges of spectacular beauty just waiting to be explored. Snorkel along the UNESCO World Heritage listed Ningaloo Reef by day and enjoy uninterrupted views of the milky way at night. Sal Salis has reopened for the 2021 season, welcoming back guests and gentle giants to their coastal paradise.

The first Whale Sharks for the touring season have arrived right on schedule, sighted off the Ningaloo Coast. The typical West Australian Whale Shark season runs from March to August, triggered by the annual coral spawning during the full moon. Ningaloo is one of the only places on the planet where these huge but completely harmless fish can be reliably located in large aggregations.
