Tasmania’s leading luxury lodge Saffire Freycinet has partnered with luxury expedition cruise operator On Board in a select series of exclusive expeditions – Coast-to-Coast Luxury – combining small ship adventure on new vessel Odalisque III through the remote southwest corner of Tasmania’s Wilderness World-Heritage Area with a stay at Saffire Freycinet on the east coast’s spectacular Freycinet Peninsula.

Exclusive round-trip transfers by seaplane link the three-night luxury expedition cruise in the southwest with a three-night stay at Saffire in the east from a Hobart base, offering seamless connections and a breathtaking aerial perspective to the island state with its rugged wilderness and sparkling coasts.

With accommodations for only 12 guests in six luxury suites onboard and at the lodge, the Coast-to-Coast Luxury six-night package is available over just three set departure dates from Hobart. Guests will travel by air to Port Davey – inaccessible by road – to join On Board before flying to Saffire Freycinet and then returning to Hobart over seven glorious days:

The Coast-to-Coast Luxury adventure takes in the vast, untouched waterways of Port Davey, a precious harbour on the edge of the world protected by a marine reserve, national park, and the UNESCO Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area. From On Board’s brand-new expedition vessel, Odalisque III, guests are immersed in wilds few will ever reach on daily walks with expert local guides, and tender excursions exploring ancient rivers and remote bays brimming with bird and marine life.
