Always on the move and now in its fourth decade under the guidance of the Wolf-Tasker family; Lake House continues to grow and evolve with refurbished accommodation, brand new facilities and plenty of wistful country inspiration.
Since Alla and Allan Wolf-Tasker first opened the doors on their country restaurant in 1984 the focus has been on offering guests a great experience and sense of place in picturesque countryside Victoria. The Lake House Team have never been known to rest on their laurels, now launching the newly refurbished Waterfront Suites
This update comes hot on the heels of last year’s property enhancements – The new Waterfront Pavilion, a private dining room for up to 40 guests on the lagoon shore, The Lagoon Deck – a place to enjoy afternoon aperitivo high in the poplars overlooking lake Daylesford; and the refurbished Lodge Studios and Suites in the original homestead.
Each Waterfront Suite has its own unique décor, the use of soft textural fabrics ensuring that it feels comfortable and luxurious. There are original paintings from resident artist Allan Wolf-Tasker as well as white eggshell bookcases featuring individual pieces from local sculptor Bridget Bodenham and Bronze artist Anthony Vanderzweep. Small touches such as birdwatching books help guests to recognise the many beautiful examples of local fauna that can be viewed from the comfort of the suite. Kookaburras, crimson rosellas, kingfisher, yellow tailed cockatoos, wedge tailed eagles, geese, swamphens and more. Binoculars are available also. Generously proportioned, each suite is individually configured in an open plan layout with a superior king bed and plush lounge area. For those times you don’t want to venture out, each suite has a dining table for two so room service is definitely on the cards. Ensuites are contemporary with a free standing marble topped vanity, heated floors, double spa bath and separate shower. A walk in robe provides plenty of space to unpack for longer stays.
