Wild Bush Luxury has appointed Frances Pollock as Lodge Manager at Arkaba, one of Australia’s most iconic conservation and luxury safari destinations in South Australia’s Ikara-Flinders Ranges. In this role, Frances will lead all guest service and operational activities at the exclusive outback retreat and private wildlife conservancy, located about four hours from Adelaide. She will also oversee the restored 1850s homestead and the immersive multi-day Arkaba Walk experience.

Frances brings more than 17 years’ experience leading one of Western Australia’s most respected pastoral and tourism operations. Since 2008, she has been Managing Director of Wooleen Station in the remote Murchison region, where she helped position the station as a national leader in regenerative agriculture and sustainable tourism. Her strong conservation ethos and leadership in low-impact tourism align with Arkaba’s focus on restoring biodiversity and protecting the landscape and local wildlife.

Arkaba offers guests a range of immersive experiences tied to its conservation mission. Guided bushwalks and open-top safari drives reveal the property’s dramatic ranges, wildlife and panoramic vistas, while field guides share insights into flora, fauna and geology. Guests can also enjoy stargazing under outback skies, sunrise visits to historic sites, helicopter safaris, 4WD wildlife tours, and even conservation activities such as tracking wildlife or learning about rewilding efforts. There’s also the famed multi-day Arkaba Walk and options for aerial adventures that deepen connection with the land.

“Frances’ experience in remote Australia, combined with her thoughtful leadership style and strong conservation ethos, makes her an excellent fit for Arkaba,” said Ben Brown, General Manager of Wild Bush Luxury. “She will help ensure Arkaba continues to deliver outstanding hospitality and unforgettable experiences in one of Australia’s most remarkable natural landscapes.”
