For guests travelling to Lord Howe Island to stay at Capella Lodge, from December 2025, SmartLynx Australia (formerly Skytrans) will operate all scheduled passenger flights between Sydney and Lord Howe Island, replacing the Qantaslink service. For the time being, flights may still be booked using the Qantas codeshare, which is handy for lounge access, Frequent Flyer benefits and checking through luggage where on connecting flights where possible. In good news for passengers, the maximum checked luggage limit aboard SmartLynx flights is 20 kilograms in two bags, with another 7 kilograms carryon luggage in a maximum of two bags.

Capella Lodge has also announced that it has has 12 new e-bikes and an all-new fleet of mountain bikes, perfect for cruising around Lord Howe Island  in style.
