Widely acknowledged for kick starting regional destination dining in Australia, Alla was championing local and seasonal cuisine long before it became a marketing mantra. A roving ambassador of sorts, she appears regularly on Masterchef Australia and participates in food festivals all around the world; spreading her message of the importance of reconnecting with our food and its provenance. Her role as a National Judge in the Delicious Produce Awards is close to her heart although she is probably happiest nowadays in gumboots in the paddock of one of the local farms.

At Lake House she remains at the helm of a team of creative and dedicated young chefs and once a season hosts some of Australia’s best and brightest kitchen talent in a full day Masterclass session in the Cooking School at Lake House. In Spring Lake House welcomes Circa’s Ashley Hicks, The Town Mouse’s David Verheul and Magill Estate’s Scott Huggins & Emma McCaskill.
