From cooking for high-end guests on private charter yachts to cooking for guests in Australia’s red-sanded desert, Mark Godbeer has taken the reins at Longitude 131°. A professional chef for more than 15 years, Mark has worked onboard private-owned motor yachts travelling the world for the past decade, offering a real skill in catering to the palates of elite clientele in remote locations.
Mark’s culinary education includes apprenticeships in England and the Seychelles, an intensive French Culinary Diploma in South Africa and most recently a diploma in human nutrition. Previously, Mark has opened and operated a rooftop restaurant in New York City and headed up a fine dining farm-to-table restaurant in Canada. Combining this with travel around the globe onboard motor yachts, Mark has had a chance to experience and learn about a huge range of cuisines and cooking styles and brings a taste of the world to the menus at Longitude 131°.
