Lovers of fine wine are invited to enjoy a luxurious long weekend appreciating the creations of some of Australia’s finest winemakers, as Lizard Island announces the dates of its upcoming Wine Series.
The Wine Series comes as an extension as a well-established commitment to offer guests a truly premium dining experience over the course of their stay. Hosted in partnership with Lizard Island’s very own acclaimed sommelier Jeremy Oliver, winemakers from Mount Mary, Torbreck and Best’s Great Western will lend their talents over the series of long weekends taking place in September, November and January respectively.
Fresh, local produce from the coast, mainland hinterland and waters of tropical north Queensland will hero the dishes served in accompaniment, prepared under the attentive eye of Lizard Island’s Head Chef, Mark Jensen.
Throughout the course of each long weekend in the series, itinerary highlights will include a showcasing of the Lizard Island Wine Cellar, wine tasting at the Marlin Bar, beachside degustation dining, and champagne brunch on the majestic Anchor Bay.
Accommodation over the course of the Lizard Island Wine Series long weekends begin at $2,032 per night. Places at the Lizard Island Wine Series are limited, visit for further details.
