Pastry Masterclass with Lune’s Kate Reid
Sunday 5th March / 11am – 1pm (coffee from 10.30am) / $125 pp
Kate Reid and Lune Croissanterie have been delighting Melbournians with their dreamy pastries since 2012. The queue to their small Elwood store would wrap around the block on weekends with people lining up as early as 6am to get one of Kate’s perfect buttery croissants. Now in a larger temperature controlled, architecturally designed space, #lunecroissant is a visual smorgasbord for selfies. So prolific are her exceptionally flaky creations that the New York Times asked if they are possibly the best in the world.
This is a rare opportunity to learn from one of the best pastry bakers in Australia. Kate trained under award winning Cristophe Vasseur at Paris boulangerie Du Pain et des idees and has taken what she learnt and developed what many consider to be Australia’s finest Croissant. Come along and get tips and tricks, whilst seeing firsthand how Kate has developed their twice baked range.
