Screen time becomes green time at Emirates One&Only Wolgan Valley with the Wolgan Ranges children’s programme, offering bush hikes, fossil hunts, archery and hands-on conservation activities for junior explorers 5 – 10 years old.
A collection of unique activities, with mentoring from the expert Field Guides, helps little ones create a healthy appreciation for nature and the Australian environment. Hobbies and skills will be discovered and developed, and new friends will be made; some with four legs, following a visit to the onsite stable of friendly horses.
Little explorers can lend a helping hand at Emirates One&Only Wolgan Valley, assisting Field Guides on a range of inspiring conservation projects to protect local Blue Mountains flora and fauna. Eco-minded activities include building nesting boxes for native birds and possums, planting trees and collecting seeds, and rebuilding natural habitats as the bushland regenerates.
Junior birdwatchers will be inspired by more than 150 bird species found in Emirates One&Only Wolgan Valley’s giant backyard. Join the nature walks for the chance to observe an array of woodland birds, birds of prey, and ground birds. Explore the pristine creeks of Wolgan Valley, following animal tracks and learning about the unique landscape of our 2,800-hectare reserve.
