Hamilton Island Race Week is Australia’s most prestigious offshore yachting regatta, attracting both the local and international sailing community. The renowned regatta program includes categories for Grand Pix top-class racers, an IRC Passage class for modern fast-cruising yachts, performance racing and sports boat classes. There are also cruising, corporate, bareboat and non-spinnaker divisions.
An important annual event, the focal point for Race Week is the Marina Village, which is the perfect place to watch the yachts prepare to set sail, listen to the early morning race briefings and then enjoy the entertainment in the evenings. Hamilton Island Race Week, however, is celebrated right across the island and particularly at qualia, with an impressive series of world-class chef’s table dinners and exclusive lunches, all overseen by the expert teams at qualia.
The 2022 event sees the return of some on-shore event highlights at qualia, including the Paspaley White Luncheon by the pool at Pebble Beach and the Charles Heidsieck lunch, held up in the resort’s Long Pavilion, along with some special dinners with visiting chefs Paul Carmichael, Peter Gilmore and Analiese Gregory.
