Great Wine Capitals is an international collection of nine of the world’s top wine regions , comprising Adelaide South Australia, Bordeaux France, Rioja Spain, Napa Valley California, Cape Town South Africa, Mendoza Argentina, Mainz/Rhine Germany, Valparaiso Chile and Porto Portugal. Each member area represents the top wine, cuisine and tourism experiences of their respective countries, and annually each selects seven winning operators from within their respective areas for the six categories, comprising Accommodation, Architecture and Landscapes, Innovative Wine Tourism Experiences, Sustainable Wine Tourism, Wine Tourism Restaurants, Wine Tourism Services, and Art and Culture.
