The annual Gold Dinner is one of Australia’s most eagerly anticipated charity galas, and this year’s event was a spectacular reminder of its significance. Held in Sydney earlier this month, the Gold Dinner made history by raising an astounding $33.4 million for the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation. This achievement set a new record for fundraising by any Australian charity gala event and a global record for a children’s hospital foundation gala.

True North Adventure Cruises is extremely proud to have contributed to the gala’s success by donating one of their award-winning itineraries, which was featured as a key auction item. The entire team is in awe of the remarkable work carried out by the Sydney Children’s Hospital daily and was truly honoured to support their foundation.

Over the past three decades, staff at Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick, and The Children’s Hospital at Westmead have collectively saved many young lives, achieved medical world-firsts, and made innovative research breakthroughs in diagnosis, treatment, and care. Thanks to the incredible generosity of the attendees at this year’s Gold Dinner, the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation now has the opportunity to further elevate children’s healthcare and make a once-in-a-generation transformation a reality.

A journey with True North Adventure Cruises is widely regarded as one of Australia’s most outstanding and revered adventure tourism experiences.
