A fun, fast and furious day of culinary skills development! The Cape Lodge one-day Boot Camp offers a superb foundation in the preparation of vegetables, seafood, meat, pastry and desserts. These hands-on classes include expert tuition from the Cape Lodge kitchen team and lunch with wine.
Music Club Series
Prepare for wonderful musical performances at cocktail hour within the serene environs of the Cape Lodge Estate, followed by dinner in our restaurant. The series launches in September with Australia’s internationally-celebrated classical guitarists, The Grigoryan Brothers.
Lunch Club Conversations
With a stimulating line-up of speakers, the new Cape Lodge Lunch Club Conversations invite guests to be inspired by some of the leading minds of our times. With engaging talks on a variety of topics, these events are sure to provoke thought, offer expert insights and encourage conversation. Lunch Club Conversations will begin with a glass of champagne, followed by the presentation and lunch, with plenty of time to interact and ask questions.
The Lunch Club Conversations start in November as social historian Gillian Lilleyman presents Pioneer Daughter: The Diary of Fanny Brockman. Started in 1872, the diary spans the crucial years of the Margaret River region’s development, told through the eyes of Fanny Brockman, an early settler in colonial Western Australia.
Art Escape
Local artist and experienced teacher Fiona Wilkie provides hands-on classes over a series of weekends that lead guests to experiment with the varied techniques of watercolour paints, inks, mixed media and sketching. Fi encourages participants to work at their own pace whatever their level of art experience. Wine and cheese will be provided to assist with the creative process! The Cape Lodge Art Escape weekends promise to be fun and stimulating for anyone curious about artistic expression.
Walk into Photography Three-Day Escape
This three-day escape examines the Southwestern landscape through the camera lens. A dynamic combination of walking, photography education, workshops and presentations, the itinerary seeks to inspire and stimulate interest over a fun and social few days. There will of course be plenty good food and wine, with the Cape Lodge restaurant the perfect place to relax and reflect on the day’s achievements.
Cape to Cape Walks
Cape Lodge has curated a series of walking tours that showcase different sections of the spectacular Cape to Cape Track – a coastal path that runs 135km along the South West coastline between the lighthouses of Cape Naturaliste and Cape Leeuwin. The walks offer a variety of distances and landscapes, and are available both as guided by a local expert, or self-guided (drop off and pickup transportation only).
