Gliding across the floodplain wetlands of the Mary River catchment on an Airboat Safari, guests have an opportunity to spot crocodiles slowly swimming amongst the grasses and watch, undisturbed, many of the hundreds of bird species that make Kakadu home. Since 2009 Wild Bush Luxury’s dedicated team has transformed Arkaba Station in the Flinders Ranges of South Australia from an ecologically-degraded sheep station into a 60,000-acre thriving private wildlife conservancy. Guests at the luxury safari homestead can join biologists as they conduct research and help set up monitoring stations for mammal surveys. Furthermore, the Native Garden Rewilding Project encourages the growth of semi-arid plants, critical to endangered species.
