Capella Lodge has reduced their cool season closure this winter, extending the opportunity to visit this premium luxury retreat. Escape to the warm maritime currents from the Coral Sea that endow Lord Howe Island and relish the near-perfect climate,  that’s often likened to perpetual spring. The gentle cool season from May to September offers great opportunities to explore various walks amongst ancient palm forests and along basalt rises, all with amazing island and ocean views. It’s the perfect time to hike the Little Island track at the base of Mount Gower to witness the Providence petrels’ mid-air courtship antics.

Daytime temperatures range from 18–22°C in winter.

The lodge will now close for a refreshment on Saturday 31 July 2021 and re-open on Saturday 28 August 2021.
