Renowned luxury tourism group Baillie Lodges has announced the launch of Beckons, a new experiential luxury hospitality brand uniting the Baillie Lodges portfolio with Tierra Hotels.

The new brand reflects the evolution of luxury travel, responding to growing global demand for immersive, experience-led journeys that connect travellers with culture, landscape and community. Beckons will bring together a curated collection of intimate lodges – averaging just 25 suites – located in some of the world’s most remarkable destinations, with a strong focus on regenerative tourism that creates positive outcomes for people, place and nature.

The launch portfolio includes five Luxury Lodges of Australia, highlighting Australia’s continued leadership in experiential luxury tourism.

Among them is the celebrated Southern Ocean Lodge on Kangaroo Island, which reopened in late 2023 following the 2019 bushfires and has since earned global acclaim, including recognition on the extended World’s 50 Best Hotels list. In the Northern Territory, Longitude 131° offers a luxury desert camp overlooking Uluṟu, where guests can connect with the region’s dramatic landscapes and First Nations cultures.

In Tropical North Queensland, Silky Oaks Lodge provides a tranquil rainforest retreat within the World Heritage-listed Daintree, with treehouse-style suites set above the Mossman River. In South Australia’s Barossa Valley, The Louise offers an intimate gateway to one of Australia’s premier wine regions, while Capella Lodge delivers refined barefoot luxury on the spectacular World Heritage-listed Lord Howe Island.

The launch of Beckons follows significant reinvestment across the portfolio and signals an ambitious new chapter for the company, positioning the brand to meet growing global demand for meaningful travel experiences that go beyond traditional luxury to deliver deeper connection and lasting impact.
