Getting There

By road:

The Flinders Ranges offer one of the most accessible outback destinations in Australia - just 4.5 hours’ drive or 1 hour's flight from Adelaide or Kangaroo Island, 4 hours’ drive from the hills and valleys of the Barossa, 3 hours’ drive from the Clare Valley wine region and little over an hour from the commercial airport in Port Augusta. Arkaba is situated on the southern edge of Wilpena Pound and the Flinders Ranges National Park and a 15 minute drive from the nearest town, Hawker.

By air:

Arkaba is 75 minutes’ drive from the airport at Port Augusta or 10 minutes’ drive from the private charter airstrip at Hawker.

A private charter flight from Adelaide takes 65 minutes to Hawker airstrip to be met by Arkaba hosts for the short drive to the homestead.
