Great Barrier Reef, Lizard Island

Located right on the Great Barrier Reef, 240 kilometres north of Cairns, Lizard Island is truly secluded from the rest of the world. Fringed in richly-coloured coral reef gardens that shimmer beneath clear turquoise water, the island boasts 24 powdery-white beaches and over 1000 hectares of national park.

We acknowledge and pay respect to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people of the Great Barrier Reef region. In sharing elements of their history, heritage and culture we acknowledge the Dingaal people – the Traditional Custodians of Jiiguru (Lizard Island), the Traditional Custodians of the land upon which Lizard Island stands.
