Reporting to the General Manager, the Maintenance Manager is a hands-on role, leading a dedicated Maintenance team to ensure all rooms and suites, grounds, plant, equipment and public areas are efficiently maintained to the highest standard with exceptional attention to detail.

With your extensive maintenance background, you are well equipped to undertake a wide variety of maintenance duties including minor carpentry, plumbing, painting, use of industrial cleaning equipment as well as a range of preventative maintenance tasks. With excellent leadership and well-developed problem-solving skills, you are an invaluable resource to solving maintenance issues, and ensuring the guest and team experience is a positive one.

As the Maintenance Manager, you will have;  

  • The ability to manage stakeholder relationships to ensure deadlines and requirements are met;
  • Experience in people leadership including coaching and mentoring, performance appraisal and feedback;
  • Strong organisational and planning skills, including the ability to prioritise tasks;
  • Experience working within budgets;
  • 3+ years’ experience in maintenance in hospitality or related industry, and experience with Essential Building Services programs;
  • High quality workmanship and attention to detail;
  • Computer literacy, including ability to use MS Office suite;
  • Current C Class drivers’ licence
  • Other relevant licences are desirable such as Working at Heights Certificate, Chainsaw license, Horticultural course and Asbestos Awareness
