Manager Arkaba - Flinders Ranges, South Australia

Arkaba is a 60,000 acre private conservancy in South Australia’s Flinders Ranges, where guests have the opportunity to experience the scale and space of outback Australia in the company of just a privileged few other guests and with passionate and experienced field guides – the guest to landscape ratio is 1 : 6,000 acres, which guarantees genuine exclusivity of experience.  The property (a member of Wild Bush Luxury) includes a 5 bedroom homestead, member of Luxury Lodges of Australia, and The Arkaba Walk, a 3 night overland walking safari and member of Great Walks of Australia.    

Wild Bush Luxury has a mission to conserve the environment and the company believes that the success of the business is inextricably linked with the environment.  To that extent the business has been actively involved in landscape rehabilitation and bringing back wildlife populations into the country and part of the management role involves the coordination of these on-ground conservation programs. 

As a small business, Arkaba offers the opportunity for an individual (or couple) to manage a variety of hospitality and bush experiences and conservation responsibilities while also being very hands on.  

We are looking for someone with the following: 

• Experience in leading service teams
• Experience of hospitality in a luxury lodge environment
• Some background in field guiding – FGASA qualifications preferable
• Experience in basic lodge and equipment maintenance
• Experience dealing with Government and local bodies
