House-person - Port Douglas

Silky Oaks Lodge, set among the world’s oldest rainforest, is just 20 minutes from Port Douglas. Silky has just undergone a $20 million refurbishment and reopened in December 2021, we are now searching for an experienced House-person to join our team. 

The Role

As a house-person you’ll keep everything looking sharp. With naturally high standards to support our own, you’ll approach every task with devotion and pride.  This is a role that will see you working over different areas including:

• Working in the laundry
• Ensuring the Public areas are immaculately clean and tidy
• Helping in the kitchen dishwashing area when needed
• Assisting the room attendants

What we’re looking for

• Proven experience in a similar role
• Strong time management skills and attention to detail
• Be willing to support the wider hotel team and roll up the sleeves to help 
• Be willing to work across a 7-day rotating roster as operational needs dictate
