Handyperson - Kangaroo Island

Two years after Baillie Lodges’ award-winning flagship property Southern Ocean Lodge was razed in the Kangaroo Island bushfires, the rebuild of the globally celebrated luxury lodge has commenced. Dubbed ‘SOL 2.0’, the new-look Southern Ocean Lodge is slated to open in the second half of 2023. 

The Role

As a handyperson you’ll work with our devoted contractors to assist the development of SOL 2.0

• Carrying out repairs and maintenance as required
• Maintain all landscaping
• Be a friendly face and helping hand to our contractors

What we’re looking for

• Extensive handyman-related qualifications and/or significant experience in maintenance within the hotel/resort industry
• Highly motivated with excellent organisational and time management skills
• Highly developed interpersonal / communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to adhere to product specifications
• Good working knowledge of mechanics, pools, plumbing and electrical
• Ability to work & make decisions under pressure
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

You will need

• Current valid SA Driver’s License
• Current First Aid Certificate
• Current White Card

This role is inclusive of accommodation and meals whilst working, there is also the possibility of a role for your partner
