Once the waters from the floodplain recede in dry-season, guests at Bamurru Plains can journey out with one of the lodge’s knowledgeable guides in a 4WD vehicle to gain a unique insight into the Top End’s fragile ecosystem.

The open-sided safari vehicles feature shaded canopies with comfortable and raised seating to provide the best possible vantage point to view wildlife such as agile wallabies, estuarine crocodiles, wild brumbies, buffalos, whistling ducks and magpie geese to name a few.

A highlight of the day is a sunset safari, stopping at one of the several beauty spots, to enjoy a late afternoon aperitivo as the sun sets on another beautiful Bamurru day.
