However a leisurely 3hr road trip is recommended and a great way to meet the many local makers – the small-scale distillers, brewers and vignerons, the oyster growers, egg farmers and apiarists, the artists and craftspeople; many of whom are valued suppliers of Saffire, and are part of a rich and rewarding experience of regional Australia. Air transfers to Saffire are available by both Fixed Wing and Helicopter from Hobart, approximately 40mins by air. The landing strip is located at Friendly Beaches, a short 10 minute drive from Saffire and the Guest Services team can arrange transfers. Plus, Fixed Wing Aircraft Transfers – ex Melbourne or Sydney can be arranged, starting from $4500. Please contact the Guest Services Team for rates. Saffire can also arrange a Fly Drive package where guests would be met on arrival at Friendly Beaches by a premium hire vehicle.
