About the role 

As Guide Manager, you’ll lead Saffire’s guide team and oversee the daily delivery of our signature guest experiences. This role is ideal for someone who is a natural storyteller, a calm and capable leader, and passionate about connecting guests to the landscape, wildlife and stories of Tasmania’s east coast.

 

You’ll work closely with Saffire leaders and operational teams to ensure experiences run smoothly, safely and consistently, while also supporting the ongoing care of Saffire’s boats, vehicles, equipment, suppliers and Tasmanian devil program.

You will:

  • Lead, support and develop the guide team, fostering a positive and professional culture
  • Oversee the delivery of Saffire’s guided experiences, ensuring high standards of safety, quality and guest care
  • Share and support storytelling around Freycinet’s landscape, wildlife, culture, flora and fauna
  • Coordinate daily operations across tours, equipment, vehicles, boats and suppliers
  • Work closely with other departments to deliver a seamless and thoughtful guest experience
  • Monitor and manage operational needs including safety, productivity, costs and quality outcomes
  • Support the care and coordination of Saffire’s Tasmanian devil program
  • Lead from the front, staying calm under pressure and finding solutions when things change
  • We're always looking to improve, so you'll be encouraged to bring new ideas and help elevate the experiences we deliver to our guests.

 

 

 

You’re someone who:

  • Has experience leading teams in a guiding, tourism, hospitality, luxury lodge or similar environment
  • Brings previous tour guiding experience and a genuine passion for storytelling and creating memorable guest experiences
  • Has strong knowledge of Australian environments, flora and fauna, with a particular interest in Tasmania’s East Coast
  • Communicates confidently and genuinely with guests, colleagues and stakeholders
  • Is highly organised, self-motivated and remains calm under pressure
  • Has a strong focus on safety, quality and delivering consistent experiences
  • Is flexible and available to work across weekdays, weekends and public holidays
  • Holds an unrestricted manual driver’s licence and a Public Passenger Vehicle Licence (or the ability to obtain one)
  • Holds a current First Aid Certificate and RSA (or the ability to obtain both)
  • Ideally has boating experience or additional qualifications such as Coxswain, ESS, Wilderness First Aid or wine knowledge
  • Experience working with animals will be highly regarded

 About the role

As a Chef de Partie, you’ll play an important role in delivering memorable dining experiences for our guests. Working closely with the kitchen brigade, you’ll help maintain high standards, contribute to a positive team culture and support the delivery of seasonal menus that showcase Tasmania’s renowned produce.

 

At Saffire, our menus evolve regularly and are shaped by the season, the produce and the guest experience, creating a dynamic and rewarding environment for passionate chefs.

 

You will:

  • Prepare and present high-quality dishes that reflect Saffire’s luxury standards
  • Work closely with the Executive Chef, Sous Chefs and broader kitchen team
  • Support the smooth running of your section during service
  • Contribute to menu execution, preparation and daily kitchen operations
  • Maintain strong food safety, hygiene and kitchen presentation standards
  • Bring energy, care and consistency to every shift
  • Support and work collaboratively with the team to create exceptional guest experiences

 

You’re someone who:

  • Has previous experience as a Chef de Partie or similar level role
  • Has experience in a premium, fine dining, luxury lodge or similar environment
  • Has a genuine passion for food, local produce and creating memorable dining experiences
  • Brings professionalism, reliability and attention to detail
  • Enjoys working as part of a close-knit, high-performing kitchen team
  • Is flexible and comfortable working across a range of shifts
  • Is keen to keep learning, developing and improving
  • Holds a current driver’s licence and has reliable transport, due to the location
  • Is available to work from August/September through to March as part of our peak season team

Working in a breathtaking location, you’ll be responsible for crafting seasonal menus which celebrate local, ethical produce and give back to the community, whilst delivering memorable dining experiences which guests won’t forget.

 

This role will lead kitchen operations, from designing menus to managing supplier partnerships, cost control and food safety standards. You will lead and mentor a high-performance team to curate an engaged, collaborative culture where people can thrive and every dish reflects the premium experience Arkaba is known for, whilst working closely with the front of house team to deliver a seamless, elevated service.

 

This role would suit an experienced culinary leader who thrives in a dynamic, hands on environment and has a passion for sustainability, storytelling through food and creating exceptional guest moments. With a strong background in kitchen management, commercial acumen and a commitment to quality, you’ll play a key role in shaping the dining experience at Arkaba, bringing a flair of creativity, leadership and a deep respect for local produce to every plate.

 

This full-time, permanent position is based on-site in the breathtaking Flinders Ranges of South Australia.

 

Some of the experience you’ll bring with you may include: 

 

  • Experience as a hands-on Head Chef or Sous Chef with a background in high end restaurants
  • Excellent technical knowledge and experience in varied cooking techniques
  • In depth knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
  • Exceptional time management and organisational skills, with the ability to work well under pressure

As a Spa Therapist, you’ll play a key role in delivering deeply personalised spa experiences within Saffire’s luxury day spa. From tailored facials and massages through to body treatments, you’ll create a calm, welcoming environment where guests feel genuinely cared for.

This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in the detail, values meaningful guest connection, and is looking to establish themselves within a high-performing luxury environment.

You will:

  • Deliver facials, massages and body treatments to a high luxury standard
  • Tailor treatments to each guest’s individual needs and preferences
  • Create a warm, calm and professional spa experience from arrival through to departure
  • Maintain strong attention to detail across treatment rooms, guest presentation and product knowledge
  • Work closely with the wider Saffire team to deliver a seamless guest experience
