Throughout June, July and August, Lake House Daylesford is offering a seasonal Friday ritual designed around unhurried dining, local produce and winter lakeside views in the beautiful Daylesford region, followed by live music and late afternoon drinks.
The Winter Lunch for Two is available each Friday for $250 per couple, featuring a shared O’Connors 600g four-week dry-aged rib eye, accompanied by condiments, seasonal sides showcasing produce from the Dairy Flat Farm kitchen garden, and the bakery’s slow-fermented spelt sourdough with whipped butter. Each lunch is paired with a glass of wine from a rotating selection of local vignerons, with a different producer featured weekly.
Set against the winter landscape of Lake Daylesford, guests are invited to settle in and linger over lunch before continuing into the afternoon and evening within the hotel’s intimate bar spaces. Additional daily menu items remain available, and groups are encouraged to book in for a leisurely shared experience. The seasonal à la carte menu continues to be offered throughout winter.
From 4pm each Friday, the experience flows into the Piano Bar in the Argyle Library Bar, where local pianist and singer Helen Davey performs on the grand piano Florentine. With a career spanning Australia and Switzerland, Davey brings a repertoire shaped by decades of jazz performance and composition for film and theatre.
Guests can cocoon themselves in the warmth of the library bar, enjoy a martini or arrive early for pre-dinner drinks, with limited seating available. The Piano Bar is available exclusively to in-house guests and those dining at Lake House.
