Robyn Bautovich has been appointed General Manager of Baillie Lodges’ award-winning flagship property, Southern Ocean Lodge. Robyn now leads the dedicated team at this remote 25-suite luxury lodge situated on Kangaroo Island’s stunning south coast.

With over twenty years in hospitality, Robyn brings a wealth of experience to her role. Her distinguished career includes General Manager positions at some of the world’s most desirable tourism destinations. Robyn has held senior roles at prestigious resorts across Southeast Asia and Australia’s tropical north. Notably, she spent 13 years with the Mantra group, managing Peppers Beach Club & Spa in Palm Cove, Port Douglas, Palm Bay in Queensland, Peppers Seminyak in Indonesia, and Peppers Craigieburn in New South Wales. Additionally, she led teams at the Life Resorts group in Vietnam, overseeing wellness retreats for six years.

Robyn’s passion for travel and working with people drives her career. She views her role at Southern Ocean Lodge as a dream opportunity, drawn by the chance to work in such a unique setting. Embracing the cooler climate of Kangaroo Island is a new challenge for Robyn, who is accustomed to tropical environments. She finds great joy in welcoming guests to Southern Ocean Lodge and watching their awe as they take in the incredible views from the Great Room.
