Three years after being devastated by bushfires, Kangaroo Island’s tourism operators are continuing to bounce back with predictions of a busy summer season ahead, reports ABC NEWS.
- The internationally renowned Southern Ocean Lodge was devastatingly reduced to rubble by the 2019-20 fires, but a rebuilt version now stands almost at completion.
- A new visitor information centre at Flinders Chase National Park will open in 2024
- More return flights will run from Adelaide to Kangaroo Island in a commercial arrangement struck between the SA Government and Qantas recently.
