Spicers Peak Lodge are partnering with Golden Grove Estate Wines to deliver a special long lunch with award-winning food, paired with some of the best wines from the Granite Belt region with Queensland High Country serving as the perfect backdrop.

Hosted by Queensland Winemaker of the Year, Ray Costanzo, Golden Grove Estate is a family owned and operated winery in Ballandean, located just 15 minutes south of Stanthorpe in the high altitude Granite Belt wine region of Queensland. Third Generation winemaker Raymond Costanzo continues the Costanzo family legacy, which began with vine plantings in 1946.
In recent years Ray and his father Sam planted lesser known, alternative grape varieties and made these their speciality – they’re called ‘Strange Bird’ wines in the Granite Belt region. Specialising in varieties such as Nero d’Avola, Tempranillo and Vermentino, Golden Grove’s wines are sure to surprise and delight.
Golden Grove Estate took out Queensland Winery of the Year and Ray was awarded the Queensland Winemaker of the Year at the 38th Queensland Wine Awards in 2022.
Join the afternoon celebrations at 12pm to enjoy a glass of wine in the guest lounge before making your way to our picturesque terrace where you will be welcomed by The Peak’s Executive Chef, Karl Reyes, and Golden Grove Winemaker, Ray Costanzo. Sit back and enjoy panoramic views of the stunning surrounds while indulging in a five course chef’s tasting menu designed to compliment this range of premium wines.
