Saffire Freycinet have just announced a new complimentary experience for guests with a tour of Waubs Harbour Distillery.

Once an old oyster hatchery, now a meticulously converted world class maritime Tasmanian single malt whisky distillery set on the edge of the ocean in Bicheno, just a short scenic drive from the luxury lodge. Go behind the scenes at Waubs Harbour, with 5 salt-laden bond rooms and a cooling system run entirely by the ocean. Be guided through the whisky production process, sampling local ingredients throughout the experience.

Guests will also taste a range of Waubs Harbour whiskies from both their current range and also from the founder’s personal collection, in Waubs Harbour’s new ocean-view tasting room complemented by a platter of fresh, local produce.
