True North hasn’t been to Sydney for two years – so there’s a lot of catching up to do this festive season!
On Christmas Night the True North crew will welcome guests aboard for the return of the Blue Water Classic. A cocktail will get proceedings underway together with hors d’oeuvres fitting the occasion and then it’s time for dinner on stunning Sydney Harbour – a feast for all the senses.
Everyone will be up early the next morning for a True North highlight – a chance to visit the Cruising Yacht Club on starting day.
Experience the pre-race tension as the contenders prepare for one of the world’s most famous yacht races. Enjoy a champagne breakfast on the bow and watch the start of the Sydney to Hobart from the most enviable platform in the harbour. The afternoon is set aside for visits to harbour favourites including the Opera House and Taronga Zoo before True North cruises up the spectacular North Sydney coast to Pittwater.
The next morning offers another cruise highlight – a stunning walk to the Barrenjoey Lighthouse. Likely ‘sail past’ the Pittwater Yacht Club and check out some of the local real estate before gliding into the Hawkesbury River like only the True North can. In the afternoon guests will explore the Ku-ring-gai – Australia’s second oldest National Park and, the helicopter will offer wine tasting in the Hunter before another stunning evening meal – this time surrounded by the Australian bush.
On Day Three you’ll need to be up early again. Stand in the very spot where the Australian Constitution was written and see the rock art of those who came before. Have a swim, visit the Broken Bay Pearl Farm and join an infamous True North ‘raft-up’. Then it’s time for some live music and party night.
